edit: i was bored looking at my notes, and thought, ykno, with the shortage of ppl who know taiwanese, let alone teach it, this is the internet, so there's gotta be something...

if there's two, maybe 3 foreign languages i would like to be fluent in, it'd be: japanese, taiwanese, mandarin. in that order. i know a lot of taiwanese, but i really still believe it's all basic. and i couldn't recognize a single chicken scratch of it on paper. japanese is kinda cause i do end up looking at a buncha websites in japanese that i just don't know how to navigate. and you can't just throw anything into babelfish; if a website supports flash, then you're screwed.
