i wonder just how often god communicates with his people in dreams...
like how many of those things turn out to be true...
cause lately i've been getting nightmares...
not the ones where i'm being chased by the T-1000(used to have those all the time when i was a kid)
but, like, i dunno, ones pertaining to things i don't want others to find out... kinda hard to describe... dreams can be easy to forget...
i should keep a pen and paper next to my bed, so that if i get one, i can jot it down...

ny welcomes home larry brown
stephen a smith personally on tv GUARENTEED that the knicks will be in the playoffs come that time...
i don't wanna jump on the bandwagon quite yet(though i'd like to see it happen), but i will say that if lb pulls this off(get the knicks into the playoffs this coming year), it will be nothing short of incredible...
ny has no money to blow...
nobody on that team plays defense first...
nobody on that team shares the ball first...
the eastern conference as a whole has gotten better while ny has gotten worse(besides the top 3, nets now have abdu-rahim, cavs have hughes, wizards have daniels, and of course we have chicago and boston not going anywhere, let's not forget orlando, and even bucks look better)...
put it this way; brown is worth a LOT to any nba team; if there's a coach you'd want on your team in this day and age, this guy is it. but i believe the players contribute to that potential as well. the reason why the sixers could not top the lakers, but the pistons could, was simply that the pistons were a flat-out better team; there was more to them that simply one or two players.
i really felt that the pistons was really the ideal team that brown wanted to coach all along...
they share the ball like he wants to...
they play hardcore team d like he wants to...
they have no superstar, so this team concept is helped even more...
and finally, he loves them and they love him right back...
but hey, let's see what brown can do for ny...

random ish said between me and jay on the bus
bus driver ended up taking a wrong turn, prompting him to ask me, "do they always do this?"
"not really, i mean, when they do, they kinda have to go through this huge deal of calling dispatch and asking what to do and stuff"
somehow, that got into some ucla and uc davis comparisons...
"at ucla, we don't really get this, but our busses are either electric or gas, so sometimes the electric ones fail us going uphill and then all of us kinda just sit while the thing rolls backward"
"lol"
"once it failed us going DOWNHILL"
"LOL! DOWNHILL?!?!?"
"and we started asking, 'are we gonna die?' "
"your squirrels here look normal-sized"
"maybe that's cause there's no smog"
"yea... like in ucla once i put my taco that i bought from taco bell next to me, turned away, then turned back, and it was gone... and all the ppl were like 'you should've kept it on your lap' and i look over and some huge squirrels were eating my taco"
"haha... huh... so both ucb and ucla have gigantic squirrels."
"but your ducks seem crazy on davis; always the male chasing the female"
"oh, i see that a lot; once i saw a male duck chase a female duck down, then stand on top of her when she was collapsed and proceeded to peck the crap outta her on her head; it's like she was just laying down and accepting it; i figure that's like the duck equivalent of getting raped"
there was some other comparisons we did; like i had to tell him about how our davis police had nothing to do(prompting me to tell him about how a policeman wrote a ticket for a car that had clearly been in an accident, even though other officers had already shown up and dealt with the scene, and he responded w/ucla officers shooting at a homeless guy who had NOTHING on him)

i can't believe i just told grace lin that...
french(the language) is useless in the the us...
(i guess i SORTA bit off of futurama in saying that, cause they once made fun of the french in that the professor creates a machine that can translate english, but then he says "in a completely utterly useless language" proceeds to say "hello" in the machine and gets "bonjour!" back...)
(i wonder if mandy reads my blog; she might be pissed i said that)
i then proceeded to tell her how spanish is so much more useful, and somehow the topic branched off unto all talks mexican food...
but later i decided; hey, why not find out?
http://www.ethnicharvest.org/regions/50languages.html
well, i was badly wrong... somewhat... it's true that you're going to find a LOT more latinos than french in the us... but they're still no 2, so i would guess learning french is still a good idea...
still, i don't see a lotta french in norcal...
PERO HAY MEXICANOS EN TODO LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS!
-in other quick news
some guitar center buys look fairly good august(for some things i need, well, i would LIKE another guitar, but that's outta my league, but getting a good set of cables would be nice), so it does look like i'll be revisiting arden centerr in west sac sometime soon...

-cookie monster sitting in bathroom stall, squeezes cookie dough out of the tube onto a spoon, then lights a lighter underneath the spoon, with a desperate look, "c'mon,, CCC' MOOOOOOONNNNNNNNN!!!!!"
-peter watching a tv sitcom called "mmm hmm" scene is 3 black, fat women around a table and their dialogue goes something like "mmm hmm..." "umm hmm?" "UUH UUHH!" *laughter soundtrack*
-stewie saying "that's worse than the time i played marco polo with helen keller" *flashback to marco polo game in pool* *helen's just staring blankly ahead in the pool, and stewie's swimming in a circle with his eyes closed on the right* "marco... marco..."

The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences
scroll down until you hit the title "an audience with the masters"
then you'll see who's among the video game greats...
shigeru miyamoto, one of the giants behind nintendo, created both the mario and zelda series...
and yu suzuki was the giant behind sega's am2, and he is also one of the giants in all of video game history for breaking new ground; he created the virtua fighter series, and shemmue.
"The Virtua Fighter series is recognized for its contributions in the fields of Art & Entertainment and is the only video game on permanent display in the Smithsonian Institution's Permanent Research Collection on Information Technology Innovation, at the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History in Washington D.C."
virtua fighter 4 final tuned is probably the most-played fighting game in japan today... japanese are nuts over competitive vf play... much like the same way koreans are nuts over competitive tekken play...
