you know how long i wanted to see something like this...

it annoys me everytime sacramento kings fans arrive in droves at the oakland(oracle?) arena.

probably annoyed me just as much to hear the kings network commentators say stuff like "buncha kings fans down here" as well.

well, the arco arena knows the bay area's pain now... so much for the nba's most loyal fan base.

it's not quite PLAYOFFS(yet), but i'll take it for the moment.

to put things into perspective whether warriors will make the playoffs:

remaining gsw schedule: 1) hosts minnesota sunday 2) hosts dallas tuesday 3) at portland wednesday
gsw record: 39-40(tied for 8th)
-warriors should get at least two; not too sure about portland, but if they're streaking, maybe they'll win them all.

remaining clippers schedule: 1) hosts sacramento sunday 2) at phoenix tuesday 3) hosts new orleans wednesday
clippers record: 39-40(tied for 8th)
-clippers should get at least 1; not too sure about phoenix; they MAY rest their "7 starters" if they feel the spurs can't catch them, and i don't know whether the hornets are doing well; good thing is that the hornets aren't throwing away games.

remaining lakers schedule: 1) hosts seattle sunday 2) hosts sacramento wednesday
lakers record: 40-40(7th)
-both of these seem like easy wins, but honestly, i'm not too sure; lakers' interior d and their ball movement just outright suck lately.

so in other words, i really have no idea. gsw has a narrow margin to get in, given the clippers just got their closer in cassell back. but given the lakers' problems, they might end up on the outside looking in, with both the warriors and clippers in, which i would find VERY, VERY amusing, that none of the "popular" california NBA teams would be in the playoffs.

on the other hand, the warriors WANT to end up with the 8th spot, because that would mean playing the mavs; granted, the playoffs are always different than the regular season, but given the success the warriors have had against the mavs, why not press the advantage, instead of trying (in vain) to out-run phoenix?
