instead of typing a recap of some of the past days, i'm just gonna post a few thoughts on the fourth of july.
basically, time and time again, humanity has proved that trying to enforce a law, even if it is the GOOD law if you follow a certain religion, results in an antagonistic view towards that religion. the aztecans didn't like it when the spanish ran over them and tried to covert them; neither did the middle easterns like it when we ran over them... but getting back, that's hence the beauty of america, and why it is such a haven for christians more than any other place; you are free to practice whatever religion you choose; this is obviously bad in its own ways, as the law sees all religions as equal, when you're clearly opinionated not to believe so, but it's also good in its own way; besides, jesus saw that when you took religious practices and turned them into laws, they'd bring down people instead of hold them up. chinese people don't get that freedom, and let's not get started on the middle eastern countries whose official religion is "fundamentalist muslim"
that said, happy LATE fourth of july; celebrate your freedom to worship God
(happy EVEN later bday to luigi...)
