chapter of reflection for today: Ezekiel 18

i'll look @ it later, but basically, it hammers home these points:
-you are responsible for your own sins... just because a father sins doesn't mean a son will be punished along with his father, and just because a father does right doesn't mean a sinful son will live
-likwise, God will forget all your sins if you are sinful, but come back to him

so, God was reaching towards his people and using this concept of forgiveness even before Jesus came to earth
